The policy regarding the doctoral program in management offered by a consortium of business schools, introduced from the academic year 2006-2007 are described in the following sections.
Eligibility
A. Skills:
Students can be drawn from the holders of all the streams listed:
• Master degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines like humanities, social sciences and commerce, from a recognized university or university / institution by the Association of Indian Universities (IAU) recognized.
• Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, MBA by AIU as equivalent.
B. Brands minimum:
55% marks or equivalent CGPA in PG
C. Work Experience:
A t least two full years relevant work experience in a managerial or supervisory board after obtaining Master’s degree.
Selection process
All candidates are required to be passed through a selection process in three stages:
First Applicants must apply for the program in the prescribed form, with a two-page “statement of intention.” Declaration of Intent should briefly describe the research area of interest.
2nd All candidates are required to appear for a written aptitude test research.
The third successful applicants after the written test are invited to make a presentation to a team of experts in their “Declaration of Intent on ‘basis. The presentation will be followed by a discussion.
Structure of />
Level I: Course work
First MBA candidates have no qualifications to undertake the work must of course first-year MBA at NMIMS, Mumbai, TAPMI, Manipal or maxim, Bangalore in classes spread over one year, during the first year of the program Ph. D..
These will be the second exempt from the first year if they are declared successful in the waiver to be tested with MBA Titles. In the third the second year, candidates will receive a teaching / classroom interaction have five compulsory subjects as follows:
a) The thought of management, theories and research (The Philosophical Foundations of Management)
b) Economic theories and research,
c) Research in Strategic Management,

In the fourth addition to the above, the applicant must study their specialized subjects in the areas of strategic management, marketing, business / finance, systems, human resources, operations, and Entrepreneurship. In addition to the fifth above, (3) and (4), the candidate must write two research projects and teach a course at a participating institution.

Phase II: Proposal Application and

Stage IV: Communications and evaluation
First All candidates must submit abstracts of their submissions at least six weeks before the filing of the final work.
The second thesis to be submitted are reviewed by a committee of three members.
The third group of experts will be selected by the Ph.D. committee.
4th Separate reports from each of the three examiners must be submitted to the University within three months.
Level V: Viva
First Applicants must defend their thesis by intense within a reasonable time after receipt of all the positive reports. The Viva will be held by a panel of five members appointed, including President (Research and Publications), guide, at least two external examiners and a member of the VC or property venture.
Second final examination is required to report within two weeks after the mailing of Viva.
